Farcaster, to me, has always felt like a unique place in the crypto world. Curiosity, openness, and an absolutely insane number of builders. And while it did have a "christian rap" meme about it, there were also very public beefs – early ones remember s@briangtarting unlonely and being a (at times, hilarious) provocateur, v@borodutchs everyone on life-extending-lifestyle-changes, a@geoffgolbergnd v@betashop.eths Dan on their own topics. But there was a kind of special quality to it all, because even when heads were butting, people may have their respective ideological views, but we all wanted to see this little place succeed.

We had spontaneous organization, leading to Farcon Boston, then LA, then NYC and Rome – never something that was started by the teams responsible for farcaster's primary development, but by people within the community, because we just cared that fucking much.
