Adverse events: I am personally under the belief that Mask's bid is a hail mary for their own company. I obviously am not privy to their financials, but the evidence of inactivity on protocol until acquisition was an option, that there was no FIP contributed by their team when it was actively being stewarded by Neynar to propose social blobs, and the overall decline of lens lends credence to the theory. If this is true, a bridge serves them at the expense of everyone else. After all, why focus on something that improves literally nothing for user experience when a platform is losing users? Users are everything that makes farcaster great – the focus should be on "boomerangs and booms": things that get established users to come back, and things that make the platform more attractive, easier to join, more fun to participate in, more useful to have in their daily life.
