what it is, for very little lift: a cheap, trust minimized mirror. rebuild today's farcaster (~50k msgs/day) from ethereum, without trusting the server for the bytes. the hypersnap tradeoff is you trust its consensus for DA instead of ethereum's. both are legit. just different points on the same line.

but here's the actual thing.

what doesn't work is silos. farcaster's great. lens has great things. and we still don't have one place to put it together. even to gather the community. why is that? eth magicians, every forum, everyone runs their own yard. we should build together, not dunk across fences. that's the whole point of a neutral base. one graph. many clients. no steward.

the thing we're really killing is the bluesky pattern. "decentralized," but the data still comes from one place. hosting it has no upside, so nobody does.
