I think his views on the US are totally good models. He's basically been right about the predictions.

Physics brain: The model is only judged by it's predictive power. There have previously been a ton of models that turned out to be wrong, because a new model shows up and explains it better.

So far his model's have been predictive as hell, especially on Iran when he started to get more popular.
