not in the horoscope sense. the sun absolutely affects biology through light: circadian rhythms, melatonin, sleep, and hormones.

the moon absolutely affects tides, but that does not scale into “it meaningfully shapes a baby’s cells or genes.” the tidal effect across a baby-sized body is absurdly tiny; by rough calc, a nearby 80 kg adult at 0.5 m pulls about 250,000x harder than the moon’s tidal effect across a 0.5 m body.

so: sun, yes in real biological ways. moon, yes in physics but afaict no solid evidence for genes/personality/birth effects.
