on a neutral base nobody has to volunteer. it's just there. public, replicated, for a window. after that anyone can re-host it, fully or partly, and nobody can fake it. even if one person archives it, they're not a gatekeeper. the source is never trusted. bluesky's relay, neynar's hub. same shape. one place everyone leans on. we want the base to be the place. not a company. not a gatekeeper.

on how this gets cheaper. you bootstrap what's already on ethereum, get scale, keep going. nothing is ever perfect or ready. you don't pay for analytics or explorers or the other SaaS that's vital today. on ethereum it's already there, free. why can't social be a public good too? then we focus on the real thing. getting people excited about social again. right now the whole network is less than a message a second. we can do better.
